ABOUT OUR PLACE

WHAT IS ACUPUNCTURE?

The Chinese, over the course of time and through empirical study discovered hundreds of acupuncture points on the surface of the body.
They found that insertion of needles (originally made of stone) at specific locations improved or cured peoples' ailments.

Today we use stainless steel needles, sterile and individually packaged, single use, and disposable. Scientific methods and technology have allowed us to verify the existence of these points.

All acupuncture points have a precise anatomical location, angle and depth of insertion. We consider the size, age, and constitution of the patient.

While you are receiving acupuncture treatment relax and do not change position, flex or extend the arms or legs.

If at any time you feel uncomfortable, please tell the practitioner.

A few people experience dizziness which is usually due to nervousness, so relax and benefit from what acupuncture and Chinese medicine have to offer.

Avoid acupuncture treatments when excessively fatigued, hungry or full, severely emotionally upset, or immediately after sex.
